According to Ulysmedia.kz, in 2025, "net" sales of yuan in Kazakhstan exceeded 1.7 billion tenge, which is a result of a 17.2% increase compared to the previous year. Positive net sales figures were observed in 17 regions of the country.
In Almaty, sales exceeded 1 billion tenge, while Astana and the Karaganda region reported 141.5 million and 138.2 million tenge, respectively. At the same time, negative "net" sales were recorded in the Zhetysu (minus 29.1 million tenge), Almaty (minus 1.5 million tenge), and Turkestan (minus 300 thousand tenge) regions.
The average exchange rate of the Chinese yuan in 2025 was 72.6 tenge, which is 11.2% higher than in 2024. In January of this year, the yuan rate was 72.8 tenge, which is only a 0.3% increase compared to December and 1.3% compared to January 2025. This data was provided by the Finprom agency.
