At a recent meeting of the board dedicated to the results of the State Tax Service's work for 2025, Chairman Alambet Shykmamatov announced the main changes in the taxation of shopping centers and markets.
One significant step was the restoration of the patent system, as well as the exemption of entrepreneurs from the need to use cash registers. In addition, the threshold for annual revenue was increased to 50 million soms, and reduced tax rates were introduced for the jewelry industry.
“All these measures were developed not in isolation, but as a result of interaction with the business community,” noted Shykmamatov.
He also mentioned a pilot project at the "Dordoy," "Kara-Suu," and "Madina" markets, within which the administrations of these markets perform the functions of tax agents. This approach demonstrated that reducing direct interaction and the human factor significantly lowers the risk of abuse and contributes to improving tax discipline.
