President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov has signed a decree according to which the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) is transformed into an independent State Border Service. This was reported by the press service of the head of state. The decree was adopted in accordance with the Constitution and the law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic."
The document makes changes to the previously approved structure of the Cabinet of Ministers, including the updated list of the chairman of the GKNB and the new State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Thus, the Border Service is separated from the GKNB, becoming an independent agency.
The Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to make the necessary changes to its decisions and take additional measures related to the new decree.
The decree comes into effect from the moment of its official publication.
