A State Security Service has been established in Kyrgyzstan

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, has signed a decree establishing the State Security Service under the President, as reported by the press service of the head of state. This decision was made to improve security measures for both protected individuals and facilities.

The new service is being created based on the 9th service of the State Committee for National Security. It will report directly to the president and will be part of the country's national security system.

Within the framework of its powers defined by legislation, this body will be responsible for carrying out security measures aimed at protecting protected facilities and individuals.

The president appoints and dismisses the chairman of the State Security Service, and the deputies will also be approved by the head of state upon the recommendation of the service leader.

The activities of the new body will be based on the Constitution, the law on state security, this decree, and other regulatory acts.

The president will approve the regulations of the service and determine its structure and staffing. The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to adjust its decisions in accordance with the issued decree and take necessary measures.
