Mark Zuckerberg, billionaire and founder of Facebook, is considering moving to Miami. This is reported by the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg. According to the publication, he may become a new representative of wealthy businessmen who have chosen Florida for its lack of income tax.
Zuckerberg is looking into purchasing property on the artificial island of Indian Creek, located in Biscayne Bay. This island is often referred to as the "billionaires' bunker" due to the large number of wealthy residents living there.
According to the brokerage firm Jills Zeder Group, among those who have already purchased homes on this island are Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former NFL quarterback Tom Brady. Also located on Indian Creek is the home of Ivanka Trump — daughter of Donald Trump — and her husband Jared Kushner.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Zuckerberg has already become the owner of a mansion on this island, which spans approximately 8,000 square meters. The expected price of the deal ranges between 150 and 200 million dollars.
The publication links Zuckerberg's decision to changes in California's tax legislation, where an additional 5% tax for wealthy citizens came into effect on January 1, while Florida does not have such a regional income tax.
