
In Bishkek, the final meeting of the city hall's board took place at the "Tunguch" theater under the leadership of the Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, where the results of socio-economic development for 2025 and plans for 2026 were discussed.

The development of Bishkek in 2025 occurred within the framework of state and local programs, taking into account the ongoing reforms. The main areas of the city hall's work were ensuring stable economic growth, attracting investments, developing infrastructure, and improving management efficiency in the context of the city's expanding territory.
Regarding key macroeconomic indicators, growth has tripled over the past five years. By the end of 2024, the gross regional product amounted to 744 billion soms, with a growth rate of 115.8%.
The volume of industry increased 3.6 times over the five-year period, and in 2025, the city's enterprises produced goods worth 130.4 billion soms, with a physical volume index reaching 123.1%. An important element of the industrial sector's development was the "100 Industrial Enterprises - 2025" project, within which 6 new enterprises were opened.
The market services sector also demonstrated stable growth, increasing 5.4 times over the past five years. The volume of services provided in Bishkek in 2025 amounted to 1 trillion 879 billion 238.3 million soms, with a growth rate of 114.5% compared to the previous year.
The consumer price index, reflecting the level of inflation, was 107.8% in 2025 compared to 2024. In the context of increasing market activity, attention was paid to price stability and the protection of citizens' interests. A total of 461 raids were conducted to monitor prices on meat products with the participation of the antimonopoly service and other relevant authorities.
The construction sector also demonstrated significant growth in 2025, which is an important indicator of investment activity. The gross output in construction increased 2.3 times over the past five years, amounting to 143.5 billion soms, which is 19.7% more than the previous year.
The average salary in Bishkek increased 2.4 times over the past five years and amounted to 54,672.9 soms from January to November 2025, rising by 24.4% compared to the same period in 2024.
Moreover, the minimum subsistence level in Bishkek increased by 169.4% over the past five years and amounted to 8,984.12 soms per person in 2025, which is 10% higher than in 2024.
As of January 1, 2026, the number of registered unemployed in the country decreased to 962 people compared to 2020, and over the five-year period, it decreased by 2,847 people.
