
In addition, in January 2026, there was an increase in the production of building materials (by 1.7 times), chemical products (by 38.9%), vehicles (by 36.1%), refined petroleum products (by 21.1%), and food products, including beverages and tobacco products (by 13.6%). The production of pharmaceutical products also increased (by 8.9%) and basic metals (by 6.0%). The extraction of minerals rose by 37.7%.
In the construction sector, the volume of work increased by 25.7%, while wholesale and retail trade grew by 21.1%. In agriculture, the growth was 3.5%.
Compared to December 2025, in January 2026, consumer prices and tariffs in the country increased by 0.8%. Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 1.0%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products by 0.8%, while non-food goods increased in price by 0.5%. Tariffs for services to the population rose by 0.7%.
The highest price increase (1.3%) was recorded in the Batken region, which was associated with an increase in tariffs for services to the population by 2.6%. In Bishkek, the highest price increases were observed for food and non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products (by 1.4%). In the Jalal-Abad region, the price increase for non-food goods was 1.2%.
The volume of external and mutual trade of Kyrgyzstan for 2025 amounted to 15.8 billion US dollars, which is 10.2% less than in 2024. Exports decreased by 44.5%, while imports increased by 3.9%.
At the same time, mutual trade of Kyrgyzstan with the EAEU countries in 2025 amounted to 5.9 billion US dollars, which is 7.7% more compared to 2024. The largest share of this trade was with Russia (64.9%) and Kazakhstan (31.5%).
