Discussion of important issues between the two leaders
The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, and his Kazakh counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, held a telephone conversation. This information was provided by the administration of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
The initiative for the conversation came from the Kazakh side.
During the negotiations, key topics were discussed, such as constitutional reform in Kazakhstan, as well as the implementation of agreements in the areas of trade, transport, industrial cooperation, energy, and water resource management. Regional and international issues were also discussed.
Japarov expressed support for Tokayev in the context of the ongoing constitutional reform, as well as in other significant transformations, including the creation of a unicameral parliament. He wished for the successful conduct of the upcoming referendum.
