The Jogorku Kenesh plans to accelerate its work through digitalization

At the parliamentary meeting held on February 18, Marlen Mamataliyev, the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh, shared ambitious plans for the digitalization of parliamentary work and the implementation of electronic document management.

During a recent meeting with President Sadyr Japarov, he presented a strategy for the development of parliamentary work for the next five years. One of the key areas will be increasing efficiency through the use of digital technologies.

Mamataliyev emphasized that the successful experience of digitalization in the Presidential Administration has already demonstrated significant advantages. According to him, thanks to digital solutions, the decision-making time has been reduced by 10 to 20 times, and in 2024, it was possible to save more than 1 billion 205 million soms.

As part of the upcoming reforms, it is planned to reduce the use of paper documents in the legislative process. Each deputy will be provided with tablets through which they can receive materials for meetings, information from committees, and deputy groups.

There is also a discussion about the possibility of online participation of representatives from the Cabinet of Ministers in committee meetings, which will allow heads of state agencies to join discussions remotely.

Additionally, deputies will be able to hold online meetings with voters in the regions. Five public reception offices for deputy groups are planned to be opened in the parliament building, as well as a room for mothers with children.

According to the chairman, the implementation of digital technologies will not only accelerate work processes but also help to use resources more efficiently and improve the quality of parliamentary work.
