Jenyshbek Toktorbaev, who previously held the position of mayor of Osh, commented on the recent appointment of Janar Akayev to his position.
“We have successfully tackled our tasks, but there is still much work ahead. I am confident that you will be able to complete what was started with Janar Kubanychovich. He is my former colleague in parliament, a knowledgeable, educated, and honest person who understands his field very well,” Toktorbaev noted, as reported by Sputnik.
The former mayor also apologized to his subordinates.
“At times I upset you and expressed criticism, but it was always related to work. I have said from the very beginning that I would only criticize when necessary; otherwise, I am a very simple person,” he added.
Toktorbaev took office as mayor of the city of Osh on January 23, 2025; prior to that, he served as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh from the Ata-Jurt Kyrgyzstan party in the 7th convocation.
