“We can be proud of our work — our conscience is clear”
Today, at a meeting with municipal employees, Zhenishbek Toktorbaev, the former mayor of Osh, announced his resignation, reminding that no one stays in their position forever.
During the event, the new mayor of the city, Janar Akayev, was introduced to those present by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, and Toktorbaev himself.
“I have worked in this position, appointed by the president, for one year and two months. We did everything possible to improve our city, and I can confidently say that we have nothing to reproach ourselves for — our conscience is clear. We have almost 100 percent fulfilled the tasks set before us. I am ready to share my ideas and plans with the new mayor. I left of my own accord. If I offended or scolded anyone, I apologize. Work is work. If anything, you now have a named brother in Manas. My doors are always open for you. The time has come, and as we know, no one stays in office forever,” Toktorbaev noted.
