Marlen Mamataliyev emphasized the importance of strategic partnership with Russia, noting that the political dialogue between the countries is at a high level. He expressed hope for further development of relations based on trust and friendship, as well as for the activation of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The Speaker also announced his intention to make an official visit to Russia in the near future, which, according to him, will be significant for strengthening bilateral ties and inter-parliamentary dialogue.
“I am confident that the upcoming meetings and negotiations will be fruitful and will give a boost to further cooperation,” he added.
During the meeting, Mamataliyev addressed issues concerning the conditions for labor migrants from Kyrgyzstan in Russia and proposed a number of measures to improve their situation. In addition, he highlighted the need for joint efforts to legalize vehicles with Russian registration plates that are on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
“All issues can be resolved if we openly discuss them as partners and seek solutions through dialogue,” the Speaker emphasized.
Sergey Vakunov, for his part, congratulated Mamataliyev on his election as Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh and expressed readiness to assist in organizing his visit to Russia, noting the importance of the initiatives raised.
Furthermore, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation on international platforms, as well as at the level of relevant committees within the framework of inter-parliamentary interaction.
