
According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, the structure of registered vehicles is as follows:
- 972,252 — gasoline vehicles (51%)
- 57,310 — gas vehicles (3%)
- 339,938 — diesel vehicles (18%)
- 56,997 — vehicles with gas-petrol installations (3%)
- 37,295 — hybrid vehicles (2%)
- Others — various types of transport
Electric vehicles make up 0.8% of the total number of registered cars, with growth indicators over the past years:
- 2022 — 1,113 electric vehicles
- 2023 — 2,310 electric vehicles
- 2024 — 3,122 electric vehicles
- 2025 — 9,870 electric vehicles
It is also worth noting the trend towards renewing the vehicle fleet: if in 2024 the share of vehicles aged up to 5 years was 1.5%, then in 2025 this figure increased to 4.5% of the total number of registered vehicles.
Currently, a project called "Green Taxi" is being developed in Bishkek in collaboration with the National Investment Fund. The parties are discussing the mechanisms for implementing the project and its potential opportunities.
More than 100 electric charging stations have been installed in the capital, which contributes to the development of infrastructure for environmentally friendly transport and increases the number of electric vehicles.
The development of environmentally friendly transport is a significant step towards environmental protection, improving air quality, and achieving sustainable urban development. Work in this direction will continue on a systematic basis.
