According to information provided by the Turmush press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, on February 23 at 14:54, a call was received at the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil district at number 103. It was reported that a man aged about 20-25 years had been hit by a train. As a result of the injuries sustained, he was delivered to the intensive care unit of the hospital in a comatose state.
The incident was registered, and an investigative operational group promptly went to the scene. Upon arrival, it was confirmed that freight train No. 3718, traveling from Bishkek to Lugovoe from east to west, had struck local resident S.R., born in 2009, at a railway crossing.
The victim was urgently sent to the intensive care unit of the Kara-Balta hospital with diagnoses of: closed traumatic brain injury, contusion of the brain and chest, as well as in a comatose state. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of the medical staff, he did not regain consciousness and died from his injuries.
An investigation into this incident is currently underway, and all necessary forensic examinations have been appointed.
Based on the results of this investigation, an appropriate procedural decision will be made.
