Osmon Turdumambetov, a former deputy of the VI convocation from "Onuguu-Progress" and a candidate for district No. 14, reported on his Facebook that he is being pressured by law enforcement agencies.

He noted that he submitted all the necessary documents to the Central Election Commission and paid an electoral deposit of 300,000 soms. "I have a receipt," he added in a conversation with Kaktus.media.

After registration, his election campaign began in Toktogul. However, on November 2, employees of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) detained him in Kara-Balta and brought him to Bishkek, where, under pressure, he wrote a refusal to participate in the elections "of his own free will." At the same time, his deposit was not returned. Turdumambetov noted that after signing the statement, he was prohibited from sharing information, and he refrained from commenting, expecting provocations and pressure on himself and his campaigners.

Currently, the former candidate has filed an official complaint with President Sadyr Japarov and the General Prosecutor's Office, hoping for a review of the election results in district No. 14 and the organization of a repeat vote. The winners in this district were:

However, Sulaymanov has already resigned, and his place has been taken by Rayimberdi Duyshembiev.

In the Central Election Commission, Kaktus.media confirmed that Turdumambetov indeed submitted a statement, which is his right. The members of the CEC do not have the authority to refuse to accept statements or to force anyone to write any documents; they simply accept them. "When candidates submit statements of refusal or appointment of candidates, members of the CEC and staff are always present," the agency clarified.
