From 2021 to 2025, Kumtor generated total revenue of 5 billion 115 million dollars, which corresponds to more than 440 billion soms. This was announced today by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, at a republican meeting held at "Yntymak Ordo".
In the form of taxes and mandatory payments, 1 billion 176 million dollars (over 100 billion soms) has been contributed to the budget.
Since the start of operations in 1994, Kumtor has paid out dividends totaling only 100 million dollars, while over the last four years this figure has increased to 441 million dollars (approximately 38 billion soms).
Thus, Kumtor has become a reliable source of income for Kyrgyzstan, financing social obligations and infrastructure projects.
This decision, which is of great importance for the country, represents a significant step towards strengthening the economic independence of Kyrgyzstan.
