During a national meeting, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, summarized significant work on eradicating crime. He reported that over 300 members of organized crime groups have been brought to justice, and more than 38 billion soms have been returned to the state budget as compensation for damages incurred.
According to him, "we have managed not only to dismantle criminal structures but also to destroy the mechanisms that supported their influence for many years. We have restored the rule of law in the country."
The report also emphasized the modernization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The President noted that thanks to the implementation of digital technologies and the expansion of a round-the-clock video surveillance network in the regions, the crime situation has significantly improved.
"Statistics show a 73% reduction in the overall crime rate, and the number of serious crimes in areas with installed cameras has decreased by 68%. All measures taken are aimed at ensuring safety on the streets and peace for families," he added.
