According to information presented at a republican meeting by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov, 76 new schools were built in 2025, and 41 educational institutions underwent major renovations.
The deputy chairman reported that these construction projects allowed for the creation of 17,000 additional places for students.
From 2021 to 2025, 673 facilities were completed in the republic, including 394 schools and 147 kindergartens, as well as major renovations in 114 schools and 18 kindergartens.
As of today, there are 2,394 general education schools operating in Kyrgyzstan, with 1,536,633 students enrolled. This is an increase of 45,800 students compared to 2024.
