During a working trip to the Manas district, the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliyev checked the condition of the House of Culture located in the village of Talas.
According to the press service of the parliament, the construction of this building began in 1985, and it was opened for use in 1986, accommodating 400 people. However, in the early 1990s, it was privatized, and in 2014 it returned under the management of the local administration.
After inspecting the building, which is in a dilapidated state, the speaker instructed the responsible organizations to conduct the necessary research to determine whether it can be used further.
"If the building is found to be suitable, it is necessary to organize its repair immediately. Cultural facilities play an important role in the development of the cultural sphere in rural areas. We cannot forget about cultural and educational activities alongside education and healthcare," noted Mamataliyev.
At the moment, the speaker is in the Talas region, accompanied by members of parliament, as well as representatives from various ministries and local authorities.
