At the National Historical Museum of Bishkek, an exhibition titled "The Free Flight of the Horse — The Spirit of Chinese Ink Painting" was opened. This event was organized in collaboration with the Chinese Cultural Center in Bishkek, the China Cultural and Tourism Exchange Center, and several cultural organizations from China.
Present at the opening ceremony were the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ambassador of China to Kyrgyzstan, as well as representatives of cultural institutions, artists, and museum visitors.
Speakers emphasized the importance of the exhibition as a significant event in the cultural interaction between Kyrgyzstan and China. The symbolism of the horse was particularly highlighted, as it holds great significance in the traditions of both nations, embodying strength, freedom, nobility, and the aspiration to move forward. It was also noted that historically, the horse has contributed to strengthening ties between peoples along the Great Silk Road.
The organizers pointed out that holding the exhibition in the Year of the Horse according to the Eastern calendar adds special significance to the event and symbolizes the desire to strengthen humanitarian and cultural ties between the two countries.
The exhibition includes about 50 works by Chinese artists created in the traditional ink painting technique. The works reflect a variety of styles — from realism to expressionism, conveying the philosophical depth of Eastern artistic tradition.
The exhibition will be open to visitors until March 24.
