Today, Keldibek Bakirov was appointed as the head of the Directorate for Olympic Sports and the organization of mass sports events "Zhashtyk". According to the press service of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, the introduction of the new leader took place under the guidance of Kubanych Ermekov, the head of the department for analysis and development of high achievements in sports.
Keldibek Bakirov will work in this position with a three-month probation period starting from today.
From 2013 to 2017, he studied at the Kyrgyz State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports named after B. Turusbekov, obtaining a degree as a "coach-teacher".
He began his career in 2017 as a Greco-Roman wrestling coach at the Tyup Children's and Youth Sports School, where he worked until 2020.
From 2020 to 2022, Keldibek held the position of methodologist at the Directorate for National Sports.
In 2022-2023, he worked as the deputy director of the specialized children's and youth sports school of Olympic reserve "Taymanbas".
From 2023 to 2024, he was a methodologist in the "Zhashtyk" directorate, responsible for Olympic sports and the organization of mass events.
In 2024-2025, he held the position of deputy director of the Directorate for National Sports.
From July 2025 until now, he has worked as the deputy director of the state institution "Management of Sports Facilities and Sports Support".
