- According to the March report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the wheat harvest forecast for Russia has been confirmed at 89.5 million tons for the 25/26 season, with the document published on March 10.

This figure may increase by 10% compared to the previous season.

Of the total harvest, 63 million tons will be winter wheat, while spring wheat will account for 26.5 million tons.

It is important to note that the U.S. Department of Agriculture uses a methodology in which the export of each country is considered within the framework of the marketing year, rather than the calendar year. This period covers the time when the harvested crop is sold.

The marketing year, lasting 12 months, is calculated individually for each agricultural exporting country.

For Russian wheat, the marketing year covers the period from July of the current year to June of the following year. Thus, the 2025/26 season for Russian wheat began on July 1, 2025, and will end on June 30, 2026.

In 2025, Russia ranked second in the volume of wheat supplies to Kyrgyzstan, accounting for one-third of total imports.
