
At the meeting, the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh discussed and approved a draft of a new resolution concerning the fight against fraud in the banking sector and the internet. This decision was a result of the resolution adopted on June 25, 2025, under number 3297-VII.
The initiative was introduced by deputy Mederbek Aliyev, who outlined the key objectives of the document. He emphasized the need for quarterly reports from the Cabinet of Ministers, the General Prosecutor's Office, and the National Bank on measures being taken to combat internet fraud.
Aliyev noted that new fraud schemes related to banking services cause serious financial harm to thousands of citizens.
"The resolution obliges state bodies to actively work against fraudulent activities on the internet and to conduct a systematic analysis of the situation in this area," he added.
During the discussion, deputy Altynbek Kylchayev emphasized the need to improve legislation regarding dropper schemes, as young people and minors often become victims of such schemes.
Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva raised the issue of resources and the activities of the cybersecurity department in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Gula Kozhokulova highlighted the importance of ensuring the security of banking databases.
Jyldyz Egemberdieva discussed the problem of the spread of false information and defamation through fake accounts online.
