Kuvanychbek Kongantiev, a former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, has been sent to the GKNB pre-trial detention center for a period of two months, following a decision by the investigating judge of the Lenin District Court of Bishkek, who granted the prosecution's request for preventive measures.
According to the ruling, Kongantiev will remain in custody until May 10, 2026, due to ongoing investigative activities.
It was previously reported that the GKNB suspects the former deputy of organizing illegal schemes related to land plots, as well as using affiliated individuals.
