In Kara-Balta, work has begun on the major renovation of school No. 3.

According to information received from local residents, the renovation work started on March 3. Currently, the old windows and roof are being dismantled.

Workers report that the project is progressing quickly. In some cases, construction teams consisting of 40 people continue to work even at night. At this point, the building is completely devoid of windows and a roof.

In the coming days, the replacement of electrical wiring is planned. The renovation also includes updating the educational furniture.

School No. 3 was built in 1976, and since then, major renovations have not been conducted, although the need for them has long been evident. During the update, a complete modernization of the sanitary facilities will also be carried out: five toilets will be replaced on two floors.

As reported by representatives of the administration, there have been problematic areas in the school for a long time, such as floors, toilets, windows, and doors. According to them, numerous issues requiring serious repairs have accumulated, making the need for major work obvious.

The major renovation work is not only being conducted at school No. 3. Similar projects are also being implemented at secondary schools No. 2 and No. 10, as well as at kindergartens "Malysh" and "Cheburashka," located in Kara-Balta.

The entire process is financed by the funds of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the renovation work, students have been transferred to remote learning.
