Since its opening on October 27, 2025, the Karakul Hydroelectric Power Station has successfully fulfilled its functions, providing stable electricity generation. The Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan has confirmed that to date, the station has produced 22 million 702 thousand kWh of electricity, of which:
- 10 million 289 thousand kWh was generated in 2025;
- 12 million 413 thousand kWh is expected in 2026.
The project was implemented as part of a public-private partnership involving JSC "Chakan HPP." The installed capacity of the Karakul HPP is 18 MW, and the estimated average annual electricity generation is 110 million kWh.
