Remittances from far abroad amounted to $14.6 million, including $10.8 million from the USA, $0.5 million from Turkey, $0.1 million from South Korea, and $3.3 million from other countries.
Compared to December 2025, the volume of remittances decreased by $47.3 million, which is about 17.7%. At the same time, on an annual basis, the figures increased: in January 2025, the total volume of remittances was $215.3 million, which is $5 million less than the current data.
As for remittances sent from Kyrgyzstan, in January their volume amounted to $17.7 million. Of this amount, $16.3 million was sent to CIS countries, with $16 million going to Russia, and $1.4 million sent to far abroad.
Compared to December 2025, when $21.7 million was sent from the country, the current volume of remittances has decreased by $4 million, which corresponds to approximately 18.4%. Year-on-year, there is also a decrease: in January 2025, the outflow was $22.9 million, which is $5.2 million, or about 22.7%, more than the current figure.
The highest volume of remittances during the period under review was recorded in August 2025, when the inflow of funds reached approximately $342 million.
In January 2026, the balance of remittances was a positive value — $202.6 million.

The balance of remittances is the difference between the amount of funds received in the country and the amount of funds sent from it. A positive balance is formed when the inflow exceeds the outflow, and vice versa.
