The Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliyev, proposed that deputies coordinate their 10-minute speeches in advance with the leaders of the deputy groups. In his opinion, such an initiative will help to use the parliament's working time more rationally.

He emphasized the importance of discussing relevant issues affecting citizens on the podium, rather than personal matters.

During the meeting, deputy Akylbek Tumonbaev expressed dissatisfaction regarding the speech of his colleague Erulan Kokulov, who used his allotted time to criticize journalists and staff of the State Penitentiary Service.

Tumonbaev noted that such speeches distract attention and take time away from other deputies without addressing current problems. He stressed the need to discuss issues related to the regions, including problems with educational institutions and access to clean drinking water.

Furthermore, the deputy added that personal issues should be discussed outside the walls of parliament.
