The Jogorku Kenesh approved the candidacy of Almaz Baketaev for the position of head of the NBKR

At a recent meeting, the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh unanimously supported the candidacy of Almaz Baketaev for the position of Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Previously, Baketaev held the position of Minister of Finance, which gives him the experience needed for the new role.

It should be noted that the former head of the NBKR, Melis Turgunbaev, decided to voluntarily resign from his position, which led to the appointment of a new leader.
