Significant reforms are starting in the State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan, aimed at reducing political influence on the agency and alleviating pressure on entrepreneurs. In an interview with the AKIpress agency, the chairman of the GKNB, Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov, announced plans to change the interaction with the private sector.
Shabdanbekov noted that the agency intends to completely eliminate unjustified interference in economic processes. "Starting from the beginning of 2026, all unwarranted inspections of businesses will cease. We are transitioning from the 'ideology of intimidation' to legal methods and depoliticization. One of the president's orders is to stop pressure on entrepreneurs and their inspections. We will also regularly engage in dialogue with businesses, but responsibility for participation in criminal schemes will remain for unscrupulous individuals," he added.
