Livestock and poultry production for slaughter increased by 1.4% in the first two months of 2026

- According to information provided by the agency, as of March 1, 2026, the volume of livestock and poultry production for slaughter (in live weight) increased from 64.6 to 65.6 thousand tons, which corresponds to a growth of 1.4% compared to the same period in 2025.

Chuy Region holds the leading position in production, providing 15.7 thousand tons, which accounts for approximately 23.9% of the total volume in the republic. The second place is held by Naryn Region with 11.7 thousand tons, while Osh Region ranks third with 10.2 thousand tons produced. Among the major regions, Osh Region demonstrated the best growth rates, with meat production increasing by 3.6%. However, in the cities of Bishkek and Osh, there is a decline in production volumes.
