In Kyrgyzstan, electronic registration of children for the first grade begins on April 1, according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education concerning the digital system "Electronic Registration of Children in State and Municipal Educational Institutions."
The registration process will be carried out in two stages:
- The first stage will start on April 1 at 10:00 and will be intended for children registered at their place of residence in the neighborhood of the respective educational institution;
- The second stage will begin on June 1 at 10:00 and will be available for children not registered at their place of residence in the neighborhood, subject to the availability of free spots in the chosen school.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, children born between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2019, and between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020, will be accepted into the first grade.
If a child is over 8 years old or does not have documents confirming their identity, their admission to school will be decided by the commission for juvenile affairs.
The document also emphasizes that conducting any assessments of knowledge level, such as tests, exams, or interviews, during the admission of children to the first grade is prohibited, in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
