Former Speaker of the Mazhilis Marat Sultanov was questioned at the Main Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The former speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marat Sultanov, recently found himself in the spotlight after attending an interrogation at the Main Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by sources in law enforcement agencies, informing the editorial office of Kaktus.media.

It is currently unknown what case the interrogation was related to and in what capacity Sultanov was present.

Marat Sultanov was born on December 5, 1960, in Frunze and is a former speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh. He has also held positions as the chairman of the National Bank and the Minister of Finance of Kyrgyzstan. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys and has held important positions in the financial sector throughout his career, as well as serving as a deputy in several convocations, including during his chairmanship in the Jogorku Kenesh from 2006 to 2007.
