According to him, this improvement is related to the creation of more favorable conditions for premature infants.
“Last year, a new modern three-story building was opened in the maternity hospital, which began operations on August 31. This building houses a multifunctional neonatal intensive care unit equipped with modern medical equipment. This significantly contributes to the improvement of survival rates for premature children. Comparing data from 2024 and 2025, it can be seen that infant mortality has decreased by 47%,” noted K. Botokaraev.
- In 2025, the Jalal-Abad regional maternity hospital recorded 6,614 births, including two cases of triplets and 150 pairs of twins. Since the beginning of 2026, 1,474 infants have been born.
