According to Zadran, the incident occurred at an establishment called Chinese Noodle. Initially, it was reported that the explosion took place not in the restaurant, but in an elite hotel located on Gulfaroshi Street.
The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that the explosion was caused by the actions of a suicide bomber.
The restaurant is located in the commercial area of Shahr-e-Naw, where offices, shopping centers, and foreign embassies are concentrated. This area is considered one of the safest in Kabul, as noted by Reuters.
