A hurricane snowstorm that hit the territory of the United States has impacted the lives of 200 million citizens, according to information provided by ABC News.
The National Weather Service reported heavy snowfall covering the country from New Mexico to New England on the East Coast. In some regions, the snow depth reached nearly 40 cm.
According to data from PowerOutage, over 900,000 households were left without electricity. The weather conditions led to tragic consequences: at least seven people died, including two in Louisiana from hypothermia. The snowfalls also significantly disrupted transportation across the country. Over 15,000 flights were canceled over the past weekend, and ferry services were suspended in some areas.
