
As a result of recent heavy rains in Kenya, the number of flood victims has risen to 110 people, reports Kazinform, citing information from Xinhua.
This information has been confirmed by local authorities.
The Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government of Kenya reported that more than 30 counties have faced flooding and other serious natural disasters caused by heavy rains, creating a critical situation for local communities and damaging essential infrastructure.
According to the agency, the highest number of casualties has been recorded in Nairobi — 37 people, followed by the Eastern region with 26 fatalities and the Rift Valley with 14 victims.
