The energy and finance ministers of the G7 countries noted that they are closely monitoring the impact of events in the Middle East on commodity and energy markets, as well as on inflation levels and overall economic stability. In a statement released on Monday, they confirmed their readiness to take necessary measures to ensure the security and stability of energy markets.
“We are prepared to act in close coordination with our partners to maintain the stability and security of the energy market. We recognize the importance of international joint actions to minimize negative consequences and ensure macroeconomic stability,” the statement said.
