At the parliament meeting, Deputy Gulya Kozhokulova raised an important issue regarding the growing threat of synthetic drug distribution among teenagers.

According to her information, children aged 12 to 16 are increasingly falling into illegal circulation, which poses a serious threat.

Although the deputy noted the effective work of law enforcement agencies and special services, she emphasized the need for more active participation of the prosecutor's office in the fight against drug crime.

“The situation is alarming when minors, including schoolchildren, become participants in drug trafficking. It resembles a disease that spreads like cancer with metastases,” Kozhokulova stated.

She called for urgent and comprehensive measures from the government to unite the efforts of law enforcement agencies, special services, the prosecutor's office, as well as the Ministries of Education and Health.

In the deputy's opinion, systematic work on drug addiction prevention among youth should involve all government bodies and agencies.

Kozhokulova also emphasized that the consequences of using synthetic drugs are particularly negative for the younger generation. In this regard, she suggested that the prosecutor's office expand its powers and focus on monitoring the situation among minors, rather than limiting itself to combating corruption or regulating business.

“It seems that there are targeted efforts to draw young people into addiction to synthetic drugs. This issue should be at the center of state policy,” the deputy added.
