At the parliamentary meeting on January 21, Deputy Venera Salyamova, representing District No. 11, reported the registration of 18 cases of suicide among children in the Jalal-Abad region in 2025.

She noted that in the previous year, 2024, the number of such cases was 16. "Unfortunately, on January 10, 2026, a grade 8 student committed suicide in the Bazar-Korgon district. According to available information, his parents were abroad," Salyamova added.

The deputy emphasized the need to pay special attention to the problems of minors and called on the responsible authorities to analyze the current situation for timely assistance to children who may need psychological support.
