A corruption scheme related to the illegal distribution of land plots has been uncovered in the Talas region. According to information from the GKNB, it was established that 43 citizens were allocated land plots with a total area of 10 hectares and 75 ares in the Kara-Buurinsky ayil okmotu of the Aitmatov district. These actions were carried out by forging official documents from local authorities.
It is reported that as a result, 56 plots of land were illegally provided using a similar method.
A specialist working at the Aitmatov branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography, named E.A.T., attempted to offer a bribe in cash to avoid responsibility and halt the investigation against himself.
On January 20, 2026, at the time of handing over a bribe of 100,000 soms to a GKNB officer, E.A.T. was detained, which resulted in a criminal case being initiated.
At the moment, the suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility. Investigative actions are underway to establish his involvement in the crime, as well as to identify other officials involved in these illegal activities.
