An incident occurred in Sokuluk involving a shepherd who sold the cattle entrusted to him for grazing.
According to information provided by the Main Internal Affairs Department of the Chui region, on January 3, 2026, I.M., a woman born in 1974, reported to the Sokuluk District Internal Affairs Office about a crime committed by B.M., who had previously worked for her as a cattleman.
According to the victim, starting from 2010, B.M. took 10 heads of cattle for grazing and kept them in a barn in the village of Tош-Булак for 15 years. Over time, he increased the number of animals to more than 60, including cows and horses. However, B.M. is now refusing to return the animals, as he has sold them to third parties.
This case has been registered, and based on this, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Police officers have detained B.M., born in 1959, on suspicion of committing a crime, and he has been placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to clarify all circumstances of the case and determine the extent of the damage caused.
