In Bishkek, the husband of the woman detained in a drug case threatened a witness

A man was detained in Bishkek who, according to law enforcement agencies, threatened a witness with a gun and demanded that he change his testimony.

The information was provided by a citizen named A.I., who contacted the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District. He reported that on December 19, 2025, a group of individuals inflicted bodily harm on him without explanation, while threatening him with a weapon.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the incident was connected to events on December 6, 2025. On that day, A.I. was detained by officers of the Anti-Narcotics Service of the Bishkek City Police, where he voluntarily surrendered tablets of a potent drug. Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal production of narcotics and psychotropic substances.

During the interrogation, A.I. stated that he had purchased these tablets from A.M., a woman born in 1995. She was detained on December 29, 2025, and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Further investigation showed that the detained woman's husband, N.A., threatened A.I. using an object resembling a gun and demanded that he change his testimony.

Criminal cases were initiated based on these facts under Articles 280 ("Hooliganism") and 355 ("Threat or Violence in Connection with Pre-Trial Proceedings") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

N.A., born in 1997, was detained on suspicion of committing the aforementioned crimes and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police under Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The investigation is ongoing.
