To ensure phytosanitary safety at the state border, enhanced control is being conducted, organized by the Osh Department for Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine.

According to information provided by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, at the end of last week, an attempt was made to import 26 tons and 978 kilograms of onions from Uzbekistan through the "Dostuk" checkpoint into the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

However, due to the lack of the necessary phytosanitary certificate and proper labeling of the cargo, this product was not allowed into the country and was returned to the carrier.
