To ensure phytosanitary safety at the state border, the Osh Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine is implementing enhanced control.

According to information provided by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, an attempt to import 26 tons and 978 kg of onions from Uzbekistan through the "Dostuk" checkpoint was recorded at the end of last week.

Since the cargo lacked a phytosanitary certificate and the necessary labeling, it was not allowed into the territory of Kyrgyzstan and was returned to the carrier.
