In Balıkçı, the construction of a plant quarantine laboratory will cost $350,000

In order to ensure phytosanitary safety in the Issyk-Kul region, the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, with the support of the Islamic Development Bank, is starting the construction of a plant quarantine laboratory in Balykchy. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources and Agriculture.

According to the department's information, the total cost of the project, which includes the construction of the laboratory as well as the purchase of equipment, office technology, and furniture, will amount to $350,000.

During a meeting between the department director, Maxat Kocherov, and representatives of the Islamic Development Bank and the company "UniHelp," an agreement was signed for the purchase of laboratory equipment, office furniture, and office equipment totaling over 14 million soms.

The opening of this laboratory is an important step in ensuring phytosanitary safety in both the Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions.

This will not only help reduce damage from quarantine pests but will also contribute to strengthening the region's economy by protecting its natural resources. The modern equipment of the laboratory will become an important tool for the development of agriculture, increasing export potential, and ensuring environmental safety.
