According to the agency's data, in the first 10 months of the current year, the gross agricultural output amounted to 407.5 billion soms, which corresponds to a growth of 2%. The processing industry shows an impressive growth of 33.6%. In several regions, record harvests of tomatoes, onions, potatoes, and peppers have been noted.
New export directions have been established: for the first time, alfalfa seeds were sent to Russia and pumpkin seeds to Japan. In total, more than 60 types of agricultural products are exported to over 80 countries. The state program to support farmers continued its work, resulting in the issuance of 10.3 billion soms in preferential loans, as well as the transfer of 2,069 units of agricultural machinery under leasing programs.
An important direction has been the improvement of irrigation infrastructure: 541 km of canals, 588 hydraulic structures, and 91 pumping stations have been repaired. This has made it possible to supply 5 billion cubic meters of water to 2.3 million hectares of land.
Efforts to provide the population with clean water continue in 25 cities and 601 villages, of which 123 projects have already been completed. A total of 293 million soms has been allocated for the development of veterinary services, and modern laboratories and new administrative buildings are currently under construction.
According to the minister, the achieved results demonstrate a systematic renewal of the agricultural sector, an increase in export potential, and improved conditions for rural producers.
