In Tashkent, a Plan for Ensuring Food Security in Central Asia until 2030 has been adopted

In the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, a meeting of the agriculture ministers of Central Asia took place. This important event was attended by Asel Kenenbaeva, Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The main goal of this meeting was to discuss key aspects of the development of the agro-industrial complex, ensuring food security, and strengthening cooperation in the region.
During the session, the delegations exchanged experiences on the implementation of national programs related to agriculture, as well as discussed innovative and digital technologies. Significant attention was paid to the adaptation of the agricultural sector to climate change, cooperation in the fields of trade, science, education, and investment.
Representatives of Kyrgyzstan emphasized priority areas for the development of the agro-industrial complex, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation on issues of food security and agricultural product processing.
As a result of the meeting, a Joint Declaration of the Agriculture Ministers of Central Asian countries and a Plan for Ensuring Food Security in the region until 2030 were signed. These documents represent an important step towards improving food security, attracting investments in agriculture, and developing innovative technologies in the agricultural sector.
Asel Kenenbaeva also held a separate meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, I.Yu. Abdurakhmonov. During the discussion, the parties talked about the implementation of the Roadmap for the development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in the field of agriculture and food security, as well as prospective joint projects.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation, noting that the successful implementation of the provisions of the Roadmap would become an important tool for strengthening mutually beneficial partnerships in the agricultural sector.
