
As of 2025, the harvest of sugar beets in the country is 60–70% complete. The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry reports that this year, as in the previous year, there is no expected sugar shortage, and prices will remain stable.
Throughout the first nine months of 2025, Kyrgyzstan has demonstrated its ability to independently provide for itself 6 out of 9 essential food products, which is an important step in ensuring food security. These products include: potatoes, meat, milk, eggs, vegetables, and sugar.
