The Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that the weather in Kyrgyzstan will change in the coming days: rain, snow, and heavy precipitation are expected in some areas. Fog is possible in certain places.
Snow accumulation and ice are expected on mountain roads. The wind will be from the west at a speed of 4-9 m/s, occasionally increasing to 15-20 m/s.
From November 4 to 5 and during the night of the 6th, a drop in temperature is expected:
— In the Chui Valley, nighttime temperatures may drop to -1…-6°, while daytime temperatures will range from 0 to +5°;
— In the Talas Valley, nighttime temperatures may reach -2…-7°, while daytime temperatures will be from 0 to +5°;
— In the valleys of Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions, nighttime temperatures will be up to 0…+5°, while daytime temperatures will reach +1…+6°. In the foothills, nighttime temperatures may drop to -2…-7°, while daytime temperatures will fluctuate from -2 to +3°.
— In the Issyk-Kul Basin, nighttime temperatures will range from -4 to +1°, while daytime temperatures will be from +1 to +6°;
— In the agricultural zones of Naryn region, nighttime temperatures may drop to -4…-9°, while daytime temperatures will range from -1 to +4°. In mountainous areas, nighttime temperatures may reach -5…-10°, while daytime temperatures will be from 0 to -5°;
— In high-altitude areas, nighttime temperatures will drop to -15…-20°, while daytime temperatures will range from -5 to -10°.
This unstable weather may negatively affect the operation of road transport, energy and utility services, as well as the maintenance of livestock in pastures. Additionally, frost poses a threat to fruit, berry, and vegetable crops, as well as to unprotected potatoes, sugar beets, and other vegetables.
